For over fifteen years, we've been helping older Australians maintain their independence while staying safe in their own homes. What started as a single occupational therapist conducting home assessments has grown into a team of dedicated professionals serving communities across the country.
The company was founded in 2009 after our founder, a practicing occupational therapist, noticed a disturbing pattern. Her clients were being admitted to hospitals not because of new health conditions, but because of preventable accidents at home. A fall in a bathroom. A medication mix-up. Poor lighting on stairs.
These weren't inevitable consequences of aging. They were environmental problems with practical solutions. But families didn't know where to turn for help, and the available services were either too expensive or too impersonal.
We set out to change that by offering professional safety assessments and solutions at reasonable prices, delivered by people who actually understood the challenges of aging.
Every person on our assessment team has a background in either occupational therapy, nursing, or gerontology. They're not salespeople who learned a script. They understand mobility issues, cognitive changes, and the psychological importance of remaining in your own home.
When we assess your home, we're looking at it through multiple lenses simultaneously. Is this physically safe? Does it support cognitive function? Will the recommended changes actually be used, or will they sit ignored because they don't fit your lifestyle?
We've learned that the best safety solution is one that gets implemented. If our recommendations feel intrusive or patronizing, you won't follow them. Our job is to find the overlap between maximum safety and your actual life.
We don't work on commission. Our assessors receive the same compensation whether they recommend six modifications or none. This matters because it means you can trust that our recommendations are based on your needs, not our revenue targets.
We also recognize that safety needs change over time. A home that's perfectly safe today might present new challenges in six months. That's why we offer follow-up assessments at no additional charge for existing clients. Your circumstances change, and our support should change with them.
Your home is your domain. We make recommendations, not demands. If you decide that a particular modification doesn't work for you, we respect that choice and look for alternatives.
Every recommendation we make is based on peer-reviewed research and established best practices in fall prevention and home safety. We can explain the reasoning behind each suggestion.
You'll know exactly what each service costs before making any decisions. We don't believe in hidden fees, surprise charges, or pressure tactics.
